Brian
Dahlberg
The
work of Brian Dahlberg is represented in embassies and private
collections in the USA, Canada, Switzerland, Japan, U.K.,
Holland, Australia and throughout New Zealand.
He
first studied at the Nelson and Wanganui colleges and went
on to have personal tuition under the World War II artist,
the late Ted Lewis. During the years 1968 and 69 he was
a pupil of Dame Louise Henderson, studying figure, portrait
and landscape.
As
well as having several successful exhibitions, in N.Z.,
Australia and Switzerland, Brian has been awarded the following
prestigious awards:

Winner of the inaugural George Harrison Orange Festival
Award in 1976
----
Finalist in the Benson and Hedges Art Award
----
Winner Macalister Award 1997
Brian's works are all highly finished oil paintings, depicting
the New Zealand landscape in a unique, stylised manner with
clean lines and his characteristic textured sky.
