Fleur
Yorston
Fleur graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from RMIT University
in Melbourne, after completing a Diploma in Fine Arts from
the Otago Polytechnic School of Art.
Her
works are housed in various private and corporate collections
throughout New Zealand, including the James Wallace Art
Trust in Auckland and also in Cathay Pacific at the Bangkok
Airport, Thailand.
In
1992 she was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Art Council
Grant, and has been the subject of several publications
including Art New Zealand and the Who's Who Directory of
NZ Artists.
She
has exhibited widely in New Zealand in various private and
public art galleries, and in 2003 showed a selection of
new paintings at the New Zealand High Commission in London.
Over recent years she has exhibited in shows with other
prominent New Zealand artists such as Ralph Hotere, Terry
Stringer, John Pule, Bill Hammond and Barry Cleavin.
