Lee Byford

Lee is an exceptionally talented self taught artist, working in top quality oil paints on canvas. She specialises in portraiture after taking several months to capture the feeling and identity of the sitter and characterised by a moody yet softened back drop.

In November 2006, we hosted Lee's first solo exhibition 'Still Life' - which consisted of a collection of paintings and drawings she had been working on over the past couple of years. This show was a huge success and her work was written about by several leading newspapers. It is with much delight that we can confirm another show by Lee is booked for 2011. We are very privileged to have Lee's work in our collection and believe she is well on her way to acquiring a well respected name for herself within New Zealand art.
