Moira
Crossman
Moira has been sculpting for the past 20
years having graduated from the Otago Polytechnic School
of Fine Arts in 1986, she went on to do her Master of Fine
Arts degree.
Over
the past 18 years Moira has exhibited frequently in Dunedin
and the Maniatoto and has
taken part in Stone Symposiums in the South Island from
Invercargill to Picton. She has also secured various large
scale commissions such as the large Whale's tail 'Te Ara
O Kiwa I Te Mauri O Takaroa' made of blue stone (1.7 x 1.6m)
in the Waikouaiti Town Garden.
She
has a particular interest in images drawn from nature and
displays a gift for expressing this with sensitivity. Moira
works in a variety of medium, from Oamaru Stone, Marble,
Mt Sumner stone and wood.
