It was great to hear that Jasmine Middlebrook can add yet another award to her already impressive list of awards, after winning 1st Place at the 2013 Edinburgh Realty Premier Art Awards on Friday.  The painting 'The News Spread' earned her $3000 in prize money.

On Thursday we also sold a large circular work of Jasmine's - 'We Can Go Blind'.  It is on its way to Christchurch and I had to include a shot of the amazing packaging job our chief wrapper did on it!!

Car Crashes into Gallery - 1st Jul 2013

On Friday night, at about 8.30 a car crashed through Gallery De Novo's front doors!   The doors and windows are completely destroyed, and bit of damage to interior of gallery, but artwork, staff all unhurt.  Just very pleased we weren't having an opening on the night, and that no one was hurt.

Hope to have new doors in place soon - trading as normal, with some great make-shift plywood doors.  (Fingers crossed there isn't a major southerly storm coming our way).  Very pleased to say that it hasn't detered people coming in, and just had a busier than normal weekend!    Thanks for all the support!
