The Wild Dunedin Festival starts this week and we are thrilled to be showing Janet de Wagt’s exhibition ‘Dunedin to Dunedin via the Sub Antarctic’ inspired by her recent voyage aboard Ponant Explorations’ Le Soléal. The journey traced a passage through New Zealand’s remote Subantarctic islands, including the Snares, Ulva, Auckland, and Campbell Islands. Renowned for her plein air practice, de Wagt is accustomed to working directly with the landscape in all conditions. The journey formed part of the Arts Aboard residency, in partnership with the Southland Art Foundation.

PART TIME GALLERY ASSISTANT We are looking for someone to join our team. This position would involve sales and gallery displays, exhibitions set up, a variety of admin work, and assisting our picture framing team. The role would suit someone who is confident and has a love for the arts and creative sector. Someone who will offer excellent customer service and build on lasting relationships with clients and artists that De Novo prides itself on. Prior experience is preferred but not necessary. Hours to be confirmed but would average 10-15 hours a week, including rostered weekend work. Additional hours available for covering staff on leave too.
