Suzy Platt

Suzy Platt is a remarkably talented artist from Dunedin. She has been painting and exhibiting locally for over 20 years and has become one of our most sought-after and respected artists. She has had numerous successful solo shows and also been part of a number of group exhibitions.  She has also sold work through overseas galleries, and was recently head-hunted to be included in an art show depicting fashion collections from Paris Fashion Week in London, 2017.

Suzy’s works have been predominately portraits of young girls but her subjects also include still life and floral studies. Her choice of medium includes oil on canvas and/or board and gouache on paper. Her skill as an artist is illustrated in the beauty and quality of the final product and also in her unique and skillful blending of colours. Suzy's works are identifiably unique - and often people see and fall in love with so much more than just the subject matter of her paintings. Suzy is from a strong artistic family and has been a full time artist for several years.

Suzy's works appeal to a wide market - her pieces have been sold to investment art groups, international buyers as well as to numerous local admirers, and there is always a growing demand for them.

Following on from the exciting news that she was personally invited to show in Nick Knights fashion show at SHOWstudio in London and had a piece being included in the Moving Kate exhibition, Suzy was invited to be guest illustrator of runway highlights at New York Fashion Week 2020.
