Lynda Cullen

Lynda is an artist from Waitakere in Tamaki Makaurau. She spent many years on the West Coast of Te Waipounamu and has now settled in Otepoti Dunedin.

She is a painting graduate and has a Diploma in Craft Design from the School of Art, at Otago Polytechnic and her MA from Otago University focused on Gender and Visual Culture.

She has exhibited widely in Dunedin, was recently included in Still Life… In the Old Genre at Nelson’s Suter Art Gallery and has been invited to exhibit at Ashburton Art Gallery later in 2026.

She works part time at the Dunedin Public Art Gallery, which gives her time to paint from her home studio and look after her extensive garden.
