Dunedin to Dunedin: Via the Subantarctic

As part of the Wild Dunedin Festival of Nature, Janet de Wagt is sharing her paintings from her recent journey on Ponant Explorations’ Le Soléal Subantarctic cruise.

Boarding from (and returning to) Dunedin, the cruise traced a passage through the remote Subantarctic Islands: including Snares, Ulva, Auckland ande Campbell Islands, taking in remote heritage sites and incredible wild life.

In true Janet de Wagt style, works have been painted on location from on board the ship and cleverly in shape of the ship. All works are original acrylic on board or paper and capture a completely unique part of the world by an award winning artist.
